Transportation contains many rules, laws and regulations as well as documents and spreadsheets that, depending on the kind of transport, have to be applied or are universally valid. In particular the guidelines regarding the transport of fodder, food and animal by-products as well as their storage include a huge set of rules that is published and maintained by institutions and authorities. Here are some links to relevant databases and important documents as well as proofs of our certification, insurance and permits.
- GMP+ B3 & B4
The Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), a set of rules, contains the GMP+ B4 standard for the transport of fodder. In addition to GMP B4, since 2015 we are GMP B3 certified for the storage of packaged feed.
These certificates presume e.g. an integration of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), a standard for animal feed safety. In our download area you will find the link to the website of the International Database Transport for Feed (IDTF) and, with the appropriate search terms you can read about cleaning processes and transport conditions for animal feed. Additionally you will find our current GMP certificate.
- IFS Logistics 2.2
IFS Logistics is a standard for companies which are offering services like transport or storage. IFS Logistics applied both to packaged and unpackaged foodstuff as well as to products which must be stored under controlled conditions (e.g. meat, bread, milk, oil, and so on). In the case of unpacked products neither processing nor primary packaging takes place.
The requirements for IFS Logistics are divided into six chapters:
- Senior management responsibility
- Quality and product safety management system
- Resource management
- Realization of the service
- Measurements, analysis, improvements
- Product defense and external inspections
- District of Vechta, Veterinary and Food Surveillance Office
The Veterinary and Food Surveillance Office represents the first point of contact for consumers and it is responsible for animal welfare. As a logistics company, we store and transport food and are registered with the Official Control of Foodstuffs.
Certificate of the food control authority of the district of Vechta
In addition, we have received a permit for the storage and transport of animal by-products (area CAT 3).
- Organic certificate
We are certified organic!
We at the Steinfeld site have received certification under Regulation (EU) No. 2018/848 for the storage and ensiling (decanting) of organic feed and organic food.
Thus, we can offer you this service with immediate effect. We are also happy to support you with possible container handling in the port.
We are looking forward to a future cooperation.
- Insurance certificate and EU licence
Freight transports require an appropriate insurance because even the best forwarder is not immune to damage resulting from accidents or other unforeseen events. Nonetheless the insurance confirmation can prove that we do all we can in order to fulfil your contract. A valid licence for cross-border commercial freight transport is, of course, part of this.
- Company brochure and logo
Our company brochure is also available online and can be downloaded here (PDF).
Last but not least our company logo, also as a PDF. A logo that is imprinted on the minds of motorway and highway users and which has recognition value throughout Europe.
- LAVES Oldenburg
Lower Saxony State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (LAVES) is a higher state authority that deals with the monitoring of animal feed companies and their related branches, like the transport industry. As a freight forwarding business that additionally stores palletized animal feed, since 2004 we have been registered in accordance with EU Regulation No. 183/2004.
